Alliance Women Forum
Vision
To empower Pakistani women socially, economically, and professionally—enabling them to lead with confidence, contribute to national development, and shape a more inclusive, equitable society.
Context & Challenges Facing Women in Pakistan
Despite being over 48% of the population, women in Pakistan face structural, cultural, and economic barriers that hinder their full participation in society:
- Low female labor force participation due to social norms, safety concerns, and lack of enabling workplaces
- Gender-based discrimination and harassment at work, in education, and in public life
- Unequal access to education, digital literacy, and economic resources, particularly in rural areas
- High dropout rates from the workforce after marriage or childbirth due to lack of support systems
- Underrepresentation in leadership, decision-making roles, and entrepreneurial ecosystems
- Limited legal awareness and access to justice in cases of rights violations
- Digital divide that excludes women from e-commerce, freelancing, and online learning opportunities
- Mental health challenges, identity crises, and lack of mentorship or community support
The Alliance Women Forum aims to holistically address these challenges and unlock the potential of women across Pakistan.
