Pakistan did not cause climate change. We produce less than 1% of global emissions. Yet we are *the 5th most climate-vulnerable country in the world.*

In 2022, floods drowned *one-third of Pakistan*. 33 million people affected. 1,700 people dead. $30 billion in losses. Schools, hospitals, crops, roads — all washed away in weeks.

In 2025, it happened again. Floods, heatwaves, and smog returned. Farmers lost crops. Children lost schools. Families lost homes they built over 20 years.

And scientists are warning us: *The next flood is not IF, it is WHEN.* With rising temperatures, melting glaciers in Gilgit-Baltistan, and unpredictable monsoons, Pakistan will face a major climate disaster every 2-3 years.

But climate change is not just floods. It is now a health crisis:

– Heatstroke killing labourers in June

– Dengue spreading to new cities

– Dirty flood water causing cholera, diarrhoea, and skin diseases in children

– Smog in Lahore and Islamabad damaging lungs of every student

And it is an economic crisis: If we do not act, climate disasters will cost Pakistan *$100 billion in the next 10 years* — more than our entire education budget.

The good news: Climate action is also Pakistan’s biggest job opportunity. Solar installation, tree plantation, waste management, climate finance, green construction — these are *Green Jobs* that cannot be replaced by AI and cannot be outsourced.

*In this seminar, we will show:*

– What really happened in 2022 & 2025 — and what will happen next if we do nothing

– Flood Preparedness Kit: What every family, school, and university must have

– Green Jobs: How youth can earn from solar, EV, recycling, and climate startups

– How corporates can turn ESG money into real flood protection, not just posters

*Why you must attend:* Because the next flood will not ask if you are ready. This seminar is about making Islamabad, and Pakistan, ready before it comes.
