Vision
To empower doctors in Pakistan—especially young and early-career professionals—through quality education, fair opportunities, professional support, and ethical leadership, contributing to a just, equitable, and efficient healthcare system.
Context & Purpose
Doctors in Pakistan, particularly young and newly graduated ones, face a host of systemic challenges:
- Job insecurity and underemployment, especially after house jobs
- Poor working conditions and low salaries, even in government hospitals
- Limited postgraduate training opportunities and quotas
- Lack of mentorship and structured career guidance
- Exposure to violence and harassment in healthcare settings
- Burnout and mental health issues
- Delays in recognition and registration processes (e.g., PMC-related issues)
The Alliance Doctors Forum is designed to respond to these realities by creating a support ecosystem for doctors at all career stages, advocating for reform, and promoting continuous development.
Objectives
- Giving a formal role in policy making
- Support Career Growth – Provide guidance, resources, and mentorship for house officers, medical officers, and specialists.
- Promote Professional Development – Facilitate access to postgraduate education, clinical training, and continuous learning.
